Visitor's Guide

Events Policy

  • Children 2 years and older pay regular price.
  • As part of Coliseo regulations and for your safety, all minors under 16 years old must be in the company of an adult at all times during events.  This rule applies to all events taking place in the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

Cameras

Cameras with removable lenses, video cameras and long-range lenses are prohibited inside the building. Visitors cannot block other visitors’ free access to take pictures in the event. Please call to verify the specific policies of each event.

Lost or Stolen Tickets

If your tickets have been stolen, you must file and possess a formal complaint from the Puerto Rico Police Department and your photo ID. Box Office will verify the information and reprint your order. If you lost your tickets or left them at home (only the day of the event), you must present photo ID and the Credit Card used to purchase the tickets and our Box Office personnel will reprint your order.

Tickets Return or Exchanges

All ticket sales are final, so there are no exchanges or refunds. Refunds will be given only in the case of event cancellations and date changes. Likewise, in these cases, the client shall submit photo ID and tickets. The money will be refunded in the same method of payment in which the purchase was made.

Signs

Signs shall be permitted if they are approved by the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Administration. Signs must not have any commercial context and must be free of wood or metal materials. They should not be hung or tied to the building, and they should not obstruct the view of other visitors in any other way.

Purchased Tickets Through The Web Site

Tickets purchased through Ticketpop page can be picked up at the “Will Call” window with a photo ID and the Credit Card that used to purchase the tickets. This can be done on or before the day of the event during the Box Office working hours.

Ticket Resale

Ticket resale is not allowed on the Coliseo de Puerto Rico premises. To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void or invalid tickets, they must be purchased from authorized dealers only.

Elevators

Visitors with disabilities, pregnant women, and senior citizens will have the first option to access the elevators. The Coliseo has four elevators: two located in the main entrance, one on the east side (on the VIP entrance for Suite and Club Seat Owners), and one cargo elevator for employee use only.

Lost Children

Lost children will be taken to the main security office. Visitors who have lost their child should inform it immediately to any security, ushers or management personnel of the Coliseo.

Security And Crowd Control

The Coliseo de Puerto Rico provides professional protection to its visitors. Our electronic security system includes internal and external surveillance cameras, electronic gates, alarms, security personnel and external illumination 24 hours a day. There are two available security offices, one located in the cargo area also 24 hours a day and another in the service level during events.

In case of emergency, we have nine emergency exit areas with approximately 24 double doors. Two of those areas are located on the Southeast side of the building, two in the Southwest side, one on the Northwest side and one to the Northeast side, among others.

Visitor's Policy

Access To The Coliseo

The main entrance of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico is located in the North side of the building. All visitors whose tickets indicate main or upper level will use this entrance to access the building. In addition, we have a Media Entrance for press covering the event which is located at the West side of the building and an entrance for the Coliseo VIP members on the East side. Entries to the arena level (Event Level) are located in the East and West side of the building and have accessible ramps approved by the ADA. Two public elevators are located in the main entrance of the building. Visitors with disabilities, pregnant woman, and senior citizens will have the first option to access the elevators. In addition, we have seating for visitors with disabilities at all levels of the building.

The building doors open approximately one hour prior to the ticket time of the event.

Minors

As part of Coliseo regulations and for your safety, all minors under 16 years old must be in the company of an adult at all times during events. This rule applies to all events taking place in the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

Minors must be accompanied by adults. Children two years of age or older must have a ticket for admission, with the exception of some children’s events that require children one year old or more to have tickets. Please contact the Coliseo for specific information about the event that you are interested in.

Conduct

Coliseo de Puerto Rico provides a healthy, safe and pleasant environment for its visitors. Therefore, the administration does not allow inappropriate behavior. The following rules have been implemented to define what is considered inappropriate:

  • Visitors with obscene or indecent clothing will not be allowed in the building
  • Visitors that interfere with the enjoyment of other visitors will be expelled.
  • Visitors who use abusive or obscene language will be expelled.
  • Visitors with an appearance of intoxication will be handed over to the authorities and expelled.
  • Visitors that interfere with the progress of an event will be expelled from the building and subject to possible arrest.

We have security staff around the building during all events to enforce and comply with these policies. Visitors that violate any of these rules will not be welcome at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Those that see other visitors breaking these policies shall report it to the closest Coliseo employee.

First Aid Stations

Coliseo de Puerto Rico has a first aid station located on the main level at section 109-110. A team of first-aid trained professionals is on alert and ready to meet any visitor who needs emergency medical care during each event held at the Coliseo.

Customer Service Booth

Coliseo de Puerto Rico has two customer service booths located in sections 117-118 and 219-220 to answer any questions about future events, available services and facilities or to receive any comments or suggestions from our visitors. These service counters operate once the doors open until show goes on stage. In sports events, the service counter will be open until the beginning of the third period or one hour after the event has begun. 

Restrooms

Coliseo de Puerto Rico has 42 restrooms around the entire building, all with facilities for people with disabilities. Included are two family restrooms on the main level and four restrooms exclusively for visitors with disabilities, all of them located between sections 102-103 and sections 112-113. Each restroom has baby changing stations. 

Senior Citizens

If the event will take place at a venue owned or operated by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, (i) a minimum of 5% of the total tickets on sale will be reserved for each function to be sold at a 50% discount to persons who are 65 years of age or older; and (ii) handicapped persons will be granted a 50% discount on the price of the ticket. These discounts are subject to applicable laws, must be purchased in person, and require the presentation of (1) a Valid ID (defined above) that includes date of birth and/or (2) the evidence of disability issued by the Department of Health of Puerto Rico that certifies the handicap. Tickets purchased with these discounts will contain special markings, and persons seeking admission with such tickets may be required to show the Valid ID/Certificate at the time of admission to the event. DISCOUNTS APPLY ONLY TO THE FACE VALUE OF THE TICKET AND NOT TO ANY SERVICE CHARGES AND APPLICABLE SALES TAX (IVU).

 

Ticket Sales/Information

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketpop, at www.ticketpop.com or you can also contact Ticketpop Call Center at (787) 294-0001 or free of charge 1-866-994-0001, (press #4).

Tickets for events can also be purchased and/or picked up at Ticketpop Outlets which include WALMART stores in the Money Center Desk, and participant AMIGO Supermarkets in the Service Desk.

Coliseo de Puerto Rico Box Office

The Coliseo Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, with extended hours on event days. On days of events the box office will remain open until show goes on stage or upon tickets availability. In the case of sports events, it will remain open until 30 minutes after the beginning of the event. Ticket windows are located at the East side of the main entrance.

Coliseo Visits

Coliseo de Puerto Rico is available for group visits for educational purposes. If you are interested in visiting our facilities; please contact the Marketing Department or VIP Services Department. The walk through would be coordinated in days that there are no events or rehearsals.

Animals

At the Coliseo de Puerto Rico only guide dogs for visitors with disabilities are allowed in the building.

Bag Inspections

Any person entering the Coliseo de Puerto Rico with bags, packages, backpacks or briefcases will be subject to a visual inspection. Visitors who do not allow an inspection of its belongings won’t be allowed to enter into the building.

VIP Program

Coliseo de Puerto Rico has 1,008 VIP seats located in the main level of the venue, at sections 113, 114 and 115, also known as the Club Seat Sections.

Members of this exclusive program will receive the following benefits: First right of refusal on the purchase of tickets for every event, free reserved parking, personalized service for purchase of tickets, exclusive access to the Chivas VIP Lounge, VIP Entrance, In-Seat service, VIP treatment, personalized service, private events and much more.

Food and Beverage

Food or beverages (of any type) purchased outside the building are not allowed inside the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Visitors can purchase food and beverage in the concession stands and bars located inside the Coliseo that have been designated for these purposes.

The internal revenue code, Act #265 of September 4, 1988 of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age. Visitors with the intention of purchasing alcoholic beverages will be required to present a valid photo identification and evidence of age. 

Registration of Large Objects

Objects that occupy a lot of space, such as briefcases or children strollers, must be registered in the items check-in area located at the main entrance.

Lost & Found

Items found before and during an event must be turned in at the Service Booth located in the same level where the item was lost. Once the event is over, these items will be taken to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Main Security Office, where a report will be made. Visitors claiming a lost item could pick them up in this office. Items left unclaimed for more than 30 days will be donated to charity or disposed of, according to the discretion of management.

PA System

Paging guests through the PA system is not allowed during events. Emergency messages will be personally delivered to whom they are addressed to once their seat location is provided.

Parking

There are approximately 12,000 parking spaces in the surrounding areas of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico between Chardón Avenue and Hato Rey banking zone “Milla de Oro”. Parking prices can vary by location.

Coliseo de Puerto Rico has 42 parking spaces for visitors with disabilities. Access to these parking spaces will be granted only to duly identified vehicles with the parking permit issued by the Department of Transportation and Public Works of Puerto Rico and the event ticket.

Prohibited items

Items not authorized within the facilities of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico include, but are not limited to:

  • Laptops
  • Video cameras
  • Cameras with professional, removable or long range lenses
  • Bottles or cans
  • Food or beverages (medicines and baby food are allowed)
  • Firearms or any other type of weapon
  • Noisemaking devices: whistles, trumpets, drums, etc.
  • Laser pens or any other similar article
  • Coolers and thermos
  • Fireworks
  • Illegal substances
  • Car seats, child seats and strollers
  • Frisbees, balls, balloons, etc.
  • Selfies sticks
  • Electronic cigarettes

Any other item which, at the discretion of the management, is prohibited
If any of these items are found during the inspection of bags, the visitor must discard the article or return it to the vehicle. Otherwise, Coliseo de Puerto Rico will deny access to the building.

Distribution of Promotional Items

The distribution of promotional, printed and non-printed items, as well as the solicitation of signatures, is not permitted on the Coliseo de Puerto Rico premises (inside or outside), unless otherwise authorized by the building’s management.

Re-Admissions

Visitors that have already entered the Coliseo de Puerto Rico may not be allowed to re-enter the building once stepping out of it. The ticket must be presented at the time of entering the building. Exceptions in merit situations could be made; however, the particular circumstances of each case will be taking into consideration to make this decision.

Smoking Policy

In compliance with Law #40 of August 3, 1993, of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, smoking is not permitted in the facilities of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

Electronic cigarettes are prohibited within the facilities of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
